形態特徵

• Perennial herbs, 30–120 cm tall; stems erect, rather stout, striate, papillose-pubescent; branches ascending.
• Basal leaves narrowly to broadly ovate, 10–30 cm long, 7–15 cm wide, apex acute to obtuse, base cordate, margins crenulate; cauline leaves smaller.
• Inflorescence with verticels of flowers remotely arranged in panicles; valves narrowly deltoid-ovate to ovate-orbicular, 4–6 mm long, 3–5 mm wide (excluding teeth), marginal teeth usually 1–2 mm long, reticulate; callous tubercles usually present on only one valve, ovoid, 1.5–2 mm long.
• achenes ovoid, dark brown, shining.
• A hybrid between this taxon and <i>R. crispus</i>, which often resembles <i>R. crispus</i> var. <i>japonicus</i>, but is taller, has been found several times in Taiwan.

分布

• 台灣 : in moist ground and waste places at middle altitudes.
• 世界 : Native to Eurasia, now widely distributed in temperate regions of the northern hemisphere.
